Starting a new company and navigating the challenges that come along with it can be overwhelming, Modern Meat was fortunate to have a guiding hand in Good to Grow. This company offers a multitude of resources from workshops, networking trade shows, coaching as well as providing industry expertise through the various stages of a start-up food manufacturer.
In February 2020, they hosted a juried trade show, From the Ground Up, which highlights undiscovered food brands that are on the cusp of becoming household names. This exclusive event connects talented local food processors with the buyers, distributors, media, and other food industry supporters that they need to bring their brands to the next level.
What is unique is that all vendors must submit their products to a panel in advance and these judges ultimately choose which companies can exhibit at the show. So, it’s even an honour to be an exhibiting vendor!
Modern Meat was thrilled to attend and be featured alongside so many amazing BC companies. Attendees were treated to our plant-based meat products including our mini sliders topped with vegan burger sauce and onion relish.
We were also honoured to win the gold award for BC’s Outstanding New Product. We continue to be encouraged by the tremendous interest in our products and are excited to welcome consumers to delicious tasting, healthy and environmentally sustainable plant-based proteins. Such an incredible accomplishment and great launching pad for Modern Meat.
